Equipment & Processes
Automatic Cut & Strip
Automated wire cutting and stripping machines deliver precise lengths and clean insulation removal on every run, improving consistency and reducing errors compared to manual processing — especially on higher-volume programs.
Crimping — Press & Terminal Applicators
High-precision presses and terminal applicators produce strong, repeatable electrical connections. Every crimp is built to consistent pull-strength and resistance targets, so quality doesn’t drift from the first unit to the last.
Ultrasonic Splicing
Ultrasonic welding joins wire splices without solder, producing excellent conductivity, reduced resistance, and long-lasting performance — useful anywhere a soldered joint would be a weak point under vibration.
Overmolding
Custom mold design wraps connectors and cable-to-connector transitions in a protective layer, sealing out moisture and adding strain relief for harsh environments.
Braiding & Sleeving
Braided or sleeved coverings add abrasion resistance and EMI protection to finished harnesses and cable assemblies operating in demanding environments.
Continuity & Hipot Testing
Every build is electrically verified before it ships — continuity testing confirms correct wiring, and hipot testing confirms insulation integrity under voltage.

Quality & Standards
Quality is built into every step of the Harnex process, not inspected in at the end. In-process checkpoints — from incoming wire and connector verification through final test — catch issues before they reach the next station.
Harnex builds to recognized workmanship criteria (such as IPC/WHMA-A-620) for crimp and termination quality, and every finished assembly is pull-tested and visually inspected against print before it ships. Full material and process traceability means Harnex can trace a finished unit back to the materials and operator that built it.
